Five of the seven top-10 teams in action on Saturday will be battling ranked foes as the college football season rolls on with some crucial conference matchups dotting the Week 6 slate. In total, 16 of the 19 ranked teams who have started their seasons will be in action during what figures to be another hectic day in the sport. The headliners are No. 1 Miami hosting No. 7 Clemson in the evening and No. 3 Georgia hosting No. 14 Tennessee for the SEC on CBS Game of the Week in the afternoon.

But the morning wave of games is loaded, too. No. 4 Florida plays at No. 21 Texas A&M in a critical game for a pair of third-year coaches looking to make a mark on the national scene. The ACC will also have a pair of ranked teams dueling in the early time slot as No. 8 North Carolina hosts No. 19 Virginia Tech in the toughest test yet for both teams.

There’s a lot to cover with those games and everything in between. CBS Sports will be here every step of the way to update you with the latest scores, highlights and storylines throughout the day. All times Eastern

College football scores, NCAA top 25 rankings, schedule, games today: Oklahoma, LSU look to bounce back

Posted on

There are only two games on this weekend’s college football slate pitting ranked teams against one another, and both are in the SEC. But there will be plenty of insights to glean around the country on Saturday, especially in the Big 12, where the league’s only three ranked teams have plenty to prove. No. 9 Texas and No. 18 Oklahoma face critical conference battles against TCU and Iowa State, respectively, before playing each other in the all-important Red River Rivalry next week. Meanwhile, No. 17 Oklahoma State will have a perfect opportunity to get its much-hyped offense on track in a game at lowly Kansas.

Those three games should help bring some clarity to a conference that has struggled so far in 2020. But all eyes nationally will be on the SEC, where No. 2 Alabama hosts No. 13 Texas A&M in the SEC on CBS Game of the Week at 3:30 ET. In the nightcap, No. 4 Georgia hosts No. 7 Auburn. Both games could have College Football Playoff implications.

College football games on TV today

This weekend could be a bellwether for the rest of the season, at least in terms of fan interest, with two strong SEC matchups (Texas A&M-Alabama, Auburn-Georgia). Of course, the Big Ten’s eventual return could change things, but it seems many are taking a pass on college football this season. Time will tell.

South Carolina at No. 3 Florida

Missouri at No. 21 Tennessee

North Carolina State at No. 24 Pittsburgh

Arkansas State at Coastal Carolina

East Carolina at Georgia State

Abilene Christian at Army

No. 13 Texas A&M at No. 2 Alabama

No. 12 North Carolina at Boston College

No. 17 Oklahoma State at Kansas

Texas Tech at Kansas State

Charlotte at Florida Atlantic

Jacksonville State at Florida State

No. 7 Auburn at No. 4 Georgia

Tulsa at No. 11 Central Florida

Arkansas at No. 16 Mississippi State

No. 18 Oklahoma at Iowa State

Southern Mississippi at North Texas

Virginia at No. 1 Clemson

Texas leads its all-time series with TCU, 63-26-1, but the Horned Frogs have evened things out in recent years, going 6-2 over the past eight matchups. The series hasn’t been so lopsided in TCU’s favor since the Horned Frogs won eight of 11 meetings between 1932 and 1942. Longhorns quarterback Sam Ehlinger had a dreadful game in last year’s matchup — a 37-27 TCU win — with four interceptions, but he has thrown 10 touchdown passes against one pick in two high-scoring wins this season. The issues for the Longhorns, at least in last week’s 63-56 overtime win over Texas Tech, have been defense (missed tackles aplenty) and special teams (a fumble on a punt return that was recovered for a touchdown, a blocked punt and an onside kick recovered by the Red Raiders). …

Arizona voters give Ducey low marks for job performance in Suffolk University/USA TODAY poll

A new poll has found just one in three Arizona voters approves of the job Republican Gov. Doug Ducey is doing — perhaps a predictable outcome in a year where progressive and conservative groups alike have mounted recall efforts against him.

Governor Doug Ducey speaks during a press conference regarding innovative COVID-19 solutions on Sept. 24, 2020, at the Phoenix Biomedical Campus in Phoenix.

About 35% of respondents in the Suffolk University/USA TODAY Network poll of 500 likely voters viewed his performance positively, while 42% rated it unfavorably. Just over 22% of participants said they were undecided or too unfamiliar with Ducey to say.

Those low approval ratings largely held when results were broken down by age, race and geography. But there was a clear partisan divide when pollsters examined ratings by affiliation, despite the heat the governor has taken from both parties during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Roughly 65% of Republican respondents approved of Ducey’s management of the state, compared to 7% of Democrats and 35% of unaffiliated voters.

“Honestly, that was a really tough one for me to answer, because up until the pandemic, my impressions of him were very favorable — I thought he’d done extremely well for the state and was very happy with that,” said Dominique Tuilefano, a 51-year-old Phoenix resident who said she traded in her GOP affiliation to become an independent this year.

“For me, the way he handled coronavirus — succumbing to pressure from Trump and reopening prematurely — took all of those wins away. It absolutely changed my opinion of him. I feel like I don’t even know who he is.”

With this expanded deal, Ambow Education Holding notes that it will be offering specific training to meet the needs of employers making use of AWS. That includes adding enterprise recruiting programs.

Ambow Education Holding offers its lessons from its online and offline learning portal Huanyujun Education Hub. The company notes that students at Huanyujun will be given the first chance to sign up for the new program with Amazon.
